I'm Alive!

I am alive and I am well. Very well.

My life is as you would think, as it was last time I spoke to you, normal.

Very normal. :)

Cameron is 7. Avery is 4. Jayden (my last post was from the operating room when he was born) is 9 months old. (Not too sure I'll be in the operating room next baby - I almost passed out when they started working that baby out of my daughter's tummy!) Oh of course I'll be there. But I won't like it. Except for the new grandbaby part.:)

I am so blessed with beautiful grandbabies, sometimes I can't stand it. LOL

We've had a major upheaval in our family. Krissy is now a single mom and let me tell you, the past year was a challenge. Obviously my heart was breaking for my daughter, but to be honest with you, my biggest concern was for Cameron and Avery.

They are so young. I was very concerned about how they could possibly understand something I prayed would never happen, did.

It was a rough year. But everyone survived (barely) and the truth is, as much as it still hurts so many people in my family, I think we all know we'll survive.

Life goes on. I may never come back to this blog with the energy and fervor I had before, but I will also never delete my blog.

I'm an ordinary woman living a very ordinary life. But I know those of you who followed me for years probably wonder, from time to time, how Barb's doing.

Barb's doing just fine. Just hanging in, like all of you. :)

So good to hear from you! I keep your link in my Google Reader just in case you pop in.

I'm so sorry to hear of the divorce. I was 15 when my parents divorced and it really pulled the rug out from under me. I can't even imagine what it's like for little kids. But they are pretty resilient. In my case, that's what God used to really get hold of me, and with His grace it's survivable.

Glad to hear you're all doing well!

Love this ordinary woman who has been my rock over the last 7 years.

That is all.

Good to see an update. Sorry to hear that the year has been difficult--but glad you are finding your way through.

I've missed you. But since my blog is mostly quiet as well, can't say anything about living life and not blogging every minute of it.

It is so lovely to hear from you - I have to say I was concerned :)
I'm sorry about Krissy and all she is going through. But with such a fine Mom and grandmom that little family will do just fine :)

So sorry to hear about the difficult year for Krissy and the kids. I'm sure it was tearing your heart apart but I'm also sure you were and are the person to lean on for her and your precious grandchildren

I'm so glad that you are back! :) I have been reading your blog for a long time, it's one of the first blogs that I ever found and enjoyed and encouraged me to start my own. I am sorry for the upheaval in your family life, and for the difficulty that your sweet grandbabies have to go through. I hope that everything will work out for the best. In the meantime, I am glad you are back!

Oh I don't blog much either, but I love your comments on FB and love keeping up with you. You will always have a special place in my "blogging" heart. Along with your dog. ha.

Love you!! And I had NO DOUBT you all would survive the pain and heart ache. We don't understand the whys, but we sure know the WHO that gets us through. Hugs.

Barb, it's so nice to see an update from you. I've taken a short break from my blog, but will most likely return to it soon. Life has been upside down for me this past year, too. It has been humbling to say the least.

It's so nice to come over and 'see' so many familiar faces in your comments.

Always good to hear from you and I'm glad that your are doing fine.

So great to hear from you, Barb. Sorry to hear about the divorce, though. I hope you're able to post occasionally over here, as you're definitely missed. Many blessings to you and sweet family. :D

I miss you, Barb. And yes, my heart totally sank at the news you shared. I will say a prayer for everyone who has been impacted. Similar things are happening in my brother's life at the moment (only, he has made majorly bad decision after decision for many years so the details of this latest decision, while not surprising, are so upsetting.) I hope you do check in from time to time with your little blog. It has always been one of my very favorites. Btw, I think of you every time we have breakfast casserole (a recipe you sent me when Mandy got married.) Be well, friend.
Blessings,
Toni
