I've been excited about this giveaway since Shannon first announced she's going to make this a quarterly event over at her Bloggy Giveaways site.
This DVD is awesome. Thank you, thank you, Shalee, for telling me about this. You wouldn't believe how fast I went shopping online and found it. The day it arrived I watched it and I knew this was what I had to give away this time. But you can bet I wasn't giving MY copy away, so I did some more online shopping. LOL
Martha's Homemade Holidays was produced in 2005 and is a wonderful collection of holiday ideas like...

lots and lots of special features
The tutorials are so great, I'm actually convinced I can make Birch de Noel. :-)
Once you have the DVD, you can go to marthastewart.com/dvd to download and print any patterns you need.
I'm so happy to own this collection, I can't stand it. I'm going to make ice votives and ribbon candy ornaments and gingerbread people and Santa and Mrs. Claus clothespin ornaments and meringue mushrooms (to decorate my Birch de Noel) and polar fleece hats for every single person I know and bubble print wrapping paper and more gingerbread people and...maybe, just maybe, a standing rib roast and.....

I wanted to say, "Hey girlfriend," but we've never even met! Funny how I feel like I know you, but I think that's because you have a gift for expressing yourself in writing.
We share some things, though...I'm from Colorado (originally), and I like to do things from scratch. However, you are much neater than I am. LOL. Just read my latest post about cleaning if you think I'm just being modest. But maybe when the kids are all moved out, I'll have a lovely tidy house, but oh! Then the kids will come home to visit again, and... hmmm. Well, it's a nice thought. Hope is a wonderful thing!
The baby shower scrapbook is a fantastic idea!! We gave one of the girls a scrapbook with the pages decorated so they just had to add pictures, but I wish we would have thought to do this instead. Next time. You're absolutely right. Women love to do this, particularly when it doesn't come across as a competition. Thanks for sharing that.
I'd love to have this DVD, and I can share the fun with my kids, who are becoming little craft mavens themselves. I don't have the time to do everything, but I love to make homemade when I can.
Barb, you always have the BEST giveaways ~ and the best ideas, too! I love the baby shower gift you made for Krissy and Avery ~ completely and totally sweet. The next time I have any kind of shower in honor of someone, I'm going to use your idea. That was the purpose behind the post, for us to all copy it, right? ;) I wish someone had thought of this when I had my bridal shower or one of my baby showers. There were lots of women in attendance who had so much wisdom they could have shared ~ I would love to have had a record of their wisdom.
